Bordered to the south by the dark-green ocean formed by the pine trees of the Landes de Gascogne forests, the area around Bazas offers pretty, rolling landscapes of fields and hedgerows. In the centre of this region renowned for its Bazas beef, the historical town lies at the foot of its cathedral, a jewel of the 13th century.
